Sportradar signs Data and Integrity Partnership for the Veikkausliiga with the Finnish Football League Association

Sportradar is pleased to announce the new data partnership with the Finnish Football League Association (FFLA). Sportradar has signed a multi-year deal with the FFLA to become the “Official Data Partner of FFLA / Veikkausliiga”. Sportradar thereby acquired the worldwide and exclusive right to collect and archive sports data of all matches of the Veikkausliiga and distribute such sports data as “Official Data” to the media and betting industry. Furthermore, FFLA will become Sportradar’s latest Integrity Partner. Under the agreement, Sportradar’s Fraud Detection System (FDS) will monitor fixtures of the Veikkausliiga for signs of betting-related corruption and fraudulent activity.

The FFLA was formed and separated from the FA of Finland in 1990 and is the official governing body of football in Finland. FFLA is responsible for the organisation and marketing of the Veikkausliiga, the premier division of Finnish football, comprising the top 12 clubs of the country.

FFLA partners up with Sportradar because of the experience as a leading sports data service provider. As the Official Data Partner to many federations, Sportradar understands the needs of sports federations to provide sophisticated solutions for data collection and distribution. Moreover, the supply of Official Data will further support integrity measures by creating a framework for more extensive information exchange and cooperation with the betting industry. Sportradar’s technologically advanced FDS which was developed together with UEFA tracks betting odds movements across hundreds of different betting operators around the world in real-time.

Sportradar CEO, Carsten Koerl said, “We are very pleased to cooperate with FFLA as the official governing body of the premier division of Finnish football. Finland is a rising football nation developing with steady footsteps. Our market leading betting and sports data services will engage football fans in Finland in new ways and across all platforms. We are also looking forward to further strengthen our commitment to support football in countering betting-related corruption. The FFLA’s forward thinking approach to protecting the integrity of football is highly commendable and our sophisticated Fraud Detection System will greatly assist in this.”
