Sportradar is pleased to announce the data partnership with the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). Sportradar has signed a multi-year deal with the International Basketball Federation to become “Data Partner of FIBA”. Sportradar thereby acquired the non-exclusive worldwide right to collect, distribute and archive sports data of all adult competitions organised by FIBA for and to the media and betting industry. Beyond that FIBA is also granted an option right to benefit from Sportradar’s unique integrity services during the term of the contract.
FIBA is the world governing body for basketball and an independent association formed by 213 National Federations of basketball throughout the world. FIBA organises and holds commercial rights to major international basketball events such as the FIBA Basketball World Cup and the continental championships around the globe including FIBA EuroBasket. FIBA partners up with Sportradar because of the experience as a leading sports data service provider. As the Official Data Partner to many federations, Sportradar understands the needs of sports federations to provide sophisticated solutions for data collection and distribution.
Sportradar CEO, Carsten Koerl said, “We are very pleased to cooperate with FIBA as the world governing body for basketball. Our market leading betting and sports data services will engage basketball fans worldwide in new ways and across all platforms.”
