Sportradar is pleased to announce the agreement to further extend its media rights portfolio with the Spengler Cup 2013 and the 8th WAFF Football Championship for men. The new contract guarantees interesting live sports content for retail betting shops throughout the Christmas holidays.
The acquired media rights packages will be distributed on the Live Channel of Sportradar’s brand Betradar, which currently brings more than 15 hours of live sports on a daily basis to global betting shops.
The Spengler Cup, widely known as the world’s most important and most traditional ice hockey tournament for club teams, is hosted by the Swiss team HC Davos and is already taking place for the 87th time this year. Featuring six teams from around the world, the competition takes place annually between Christmas and New Year’s Eve and all 11 games will be shown on Betradar’s Live Channel.
The 8th WAFF (West Asian Football Federation) Football Championship for men is taking place in Qatar between December 25th 2013 and January 7th 2014 and will be contested by 10 teams. 16 matches will be played over two weeks, divided into 12 group stage matches, semi-finals, one play-off match and the final taking place on January 7th

Additionally, the Live Channel for retail businesses will include for calendar week 52 and 01 the tennis tournaments ATP Qatar Exxon Mobil Open and the ITF tournament from Istanbul, several matches of the Czech ice hockey league, as well as live basketball from the German BBL and Spanish ACB and live handball from theGerman HBL.
