New Sportradar Board completed

 

Sportradar, the world´s leading supplier of sports and betting-related data has finalised the casting of its top-class Board of Directors.

Risto Nieminen joined the Board as the sixth member on 1st January 2013. Risto Nieminen, the former President of the World Lottery Association and former CEO of Veikkaus, the Finnish National Lottery and Betting Agency, will contribute world-class knowledge and a network of the Lottery market to the Board. Risto Nieminen is one of the leading experts of Sport Integrity and an original member of IOC’s Founding Working Group on the fight against irregular and illegal betting in sport.

The Board’s new composition is in line with the dynamic growth strategy of the Sportradar group. The new Board consists now of independent, highly respected top experts in their particular subject areas.

Werner Klatten serves as President of the Sportradar Board. Furthermore he is Chairman of the supervisory Board of Deutsche Sporthilfe and also holds various non-executive positions within international television and media companies.

Carsten Koerl is the founder and CEO of Sportradar AG and for more than 15 years has been involved in managing positions related to the software development and gambling industry. Before developing the services of Sportradar, he was founder of betandwin, now known as bwin.

Bijan Khezri is an international corporate financier and business leader. Formerly Chairman of the Board of Stan James plc, CEO of FTSE-100 technology conglomerate Baltimore Technologies plc and co-founder of a number of innovation-driven businesses.

With Carsten Schaudienst, the Board includes an entrepreneur with a long-term track record in the retail sports betting business.

David Lampitt is a qualified chartered accountant who has worked in senior roles at The FA, including Head of Integrity. He sat on UEFA’s Club Licensing Committee and has been CEO of Portsmouth Football Club. He is currently CEO of Supporters Direct, a not-for-profit sports organization as well as running his own successful consultancy business.
