Betradar granted license in the UK

Betradar, the world’s leading supplier of sports and betting related data, has been awarded the remote combined operating license by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC). The new license allows Betradar to further provide its UK-based clients with virtual sports services. This applies for the integration via XML-feed-integration as well as via Betradar’s Remote Game Server.

The application for the license was filed in response to the UK’s revised regulatory regime, which requires all operators and software providers offering services in the UK market to be licensed by the UKGC. Deadline for the submission of the application was September 2014. The license, issued under Part 5 of the Gambling Act 2005 is valid from March 30th onwards.

“We’re delighted to have met the high quality standards set by the UKGC which at the same time underlines the quality of Betradar’s products. This official license lets us look forward to expand and to offer great products and services to clients in the UK market. Being a key market this was of high importance for us and we can now target further growth”, Neale Deeley, Commercial Director at Sportradar, commented.

Betradar’s Virtual Gaming portfolio is growing dynamically and highly recognised in the entire industry. Virtual Football, Virtual Tennis and Virtual Racing are the most realistic products in the market and are also available as mobile solutions in the all new designed Virtual Sports Mobile Suite. They are already the product of choice of more than 50 bookmakers worldwide thanks to the high degree of realism and the unique offering of betting opportunities.
