DFL and DFB continue with Sportradar

DFL and DFB continue their cooperation with Sportradar

The German Football League (DFL) and the German Football Association (DFB) are committed to the ongoing prevention and control of match-fixing in their football and have therefore extended their existing cooperation with Sportradar for another three years.

Since 2005, Sportradar have supported the DFL and DFB in the analysis and detection of possible betting-related manipulation of football matches. From the summer of 2009, Sportradar have been able to accurately monitor live betting changes in real time, through the use of the ‘Fraud Detection System’.

“The prevention of match-fixing is one of the basic requirements for the protection of fair sport and, thus, credible competition. Therefore, it is very important to take preventative measures and identify any suspicion at an early stage,” said Holger Hieronymus, Deputy Chairman of the DFL.

“Working with Sportradar has been proven to be successful in recent years. It is an important instrument of control in our broad-based approach to prevention,” said DFB general secretary Helmut Sandrock.
