Sportradar, the world’s leading supplier of sports and betting-related data, has invested in Sports Statistics & Information Systems Ltd. (SportStat), a UK based sports data provider, specialising in UK sports such as Darts, Snooker, Rugby Union & Rugby League.
With this investment, Sportradar have become majority shareholder in SportStat. SportStat delivers fast, accurate and reliable sports data to the betting and media industry. Specialising in Rugby Union & Rugby League, Darts and Snooker, SportStat are the official data collection partners to the International Rugby Board, Rugby World Cup, World Snooker, the Professional Darts Corporation, and many leading rugby union and league clubs.
This acquisition represents a key milestone in the execution of Sportradar’s strategy of becoming the unique “one-stop-shop” provider, offering the most comprehensive and reliable sports data services for pre-match and in-running betting as well as media services. The strategic investment and expansion of the portfolio within UK sports strengthens Sportradar’s commitment to continue to invest in its solutions offered to bookmakers and media companies. In particular, this investment will support the continued expansion of the sports coverage and will allow Sportradar to cover even more games in real-time in the near future.
