SportStat extends its deal with World Snooker Ltd. for a further five years

Sportradar, the world’s leading supplier of sports and betting-related data, are pleased to announce the extension of the data partnership between its subsidiary SportStat and World Snooker Ltd. for a further five years. Having embarked on a joint initiative in 2010, SportStat and World Snooker will now continue to work together and develop their data services over a number of platforms until 2018. Barry Hearn, Chairman of World Snooker, said of the deal: “World Snooker has recognised the importance of delivering its own official data across a variety of media. The Live Scoring site attracted 8.5 million visitors in 2012 and with over 10 million forecasted for 2013 here it is clear that the sport has become truly global. We are pleased, therefore, that in conjunction with SportStat’s merger with leading sports data expert Sportradar, we have agreed to extend the terms of our agreement for a further five year period. We are excited that their new partnership will enable even more exciting live betting and media products to enter the market.” Carsten Koerl, group chief executive officer, Sportradar, said: “We are very delighted that Sportradar have the extended opportunity to enable WSL to benefit from our industry expertise, complimenting the excellent work already initiated by SportStat. We look forward to a long and rewarding partnership as we are convinced that together we can shape future developments and play an active part in the creation of an even more exciting product portfolio for the World of Snooker.”
